Maria Walsh
Maria Walsh is a Research Officer at the Teagasc, Pig Development Department, Animal and Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork, Ireland, a position she has held since 2008. Her research interests include the post-market monitoring of genetically modified feed ingredients, the use of feed additives in the control of Salmonella in pigs and over coming the post-weaning growth lag in pigs through the use of feed additives. She received her education from the National University of Ireland (Dublin: BAgrSc) and Purdue University, USA (MAgrSc and PhD). She has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for several journals in the area of animal nutrition.
