TJ Higgins is an Honorary Fellow at CSIRO Plant Industry. He works on protecting food legumes from insect damage, researching the application of gene technology for plant improvement. His current research is focused on international agriculture with particular emphasis on West Africa and India and he has a special interest in public awareness of science.
